Swim Times, Part IV

You know, there really aren't very many quality design beach bags out there. A bit constraining, but have no fear, I come bearing some good finds that that I went to the end of the internet for and back, then through the woods to Rebecca & Co. Pictured above are Trina's beach totes, which are bright white, fun in plastic and with clean, classic lines.

Swim Times, Part III

Okay, so I know it's an understatement saying "it's ludicrous to spend $298 on a beach towel," especially in consideration of a) long days in the sun, drinking cocktails (insinuating you might...just might...lose sight of your towel), b) there's a pretty big potential of sun, sand and chlorine damage and c) it's just plain silly. BUT I have found some designer towels way under $100 as well, which makes me happy. Check out these beautiful linens in which to bronze thyself (or shade thyself)!

Picture above: Jemina by Roberta Roller, $100. Malika towel by MissoniHome, $235. Harbour Island by Deborah Island Linens, $298. Bisquine Towel by Lacoste, $27. Trina Turk Palm Springs Towel, $58.

Swim Times, Part Deux

The shades edition. Can you tell how much I just loathe tortoise shell?

Electric Vols, $84.95, Tory Burch Open Lens Butterfly (Fade brown to blue), $149, Tom Ford 'Jennifer' Oval Frame, $380, Christian Lacroix Cat's Eye Sunglasses, $270, Roberto Cavalli Cat's Eye Sunglasses, $395

I swooned when I caught site of the Prism Copenhagen, rose gold. Keeping your eyes protected is extremely important, which is how I justify spending a pretty penny on my shades. Enjoy! xx

Swim Times, Part 1

This week's forecast got me just a little amped (70s, and a potential 80). So, just for you ("you" meaning "me"), I am compiling a mini beach series guide. Starting off with tunics, we have some Trina Turk picks above. These corals and turquoise really speak the beach language well. To some, jewelry at the beach or by the pool may seem frivolous, but I disagree. I think it adds a goddess-esque element that just may set you apart from the rest.
(Pictured above: Trina Turk Kuta Crotchet Tunic, $174, TT Mediterranean Batwing Tunic, $118, TT Caprice Tunic, $144, TT Enamel 3-Tier Brick Necklace, $268)

I have a soft spot for white tunics, especially lace... and long dresses.
(Pictured aboveTory Burch Eyelet Tunic, $295, Tory Burch Print Silk Long Caftan, $350, TB Beach Poncho, $295)

And, here, ladies, is the deal of the day. TB Booker Henley tunic WAS $325, on sale for $97.50 !

You can vote now, too. Personally, I'm feeling Natallie Vodianova. Louis Vuitton, that is all.

Dior Inspiration

Dior, Fall 2012 picks per yours truly. I'm particularly diggin' the sheer material that adds another dimension to the already edgy cuts. Also, appreciating the arm piece in the first photo. Thanks, Vogue. Happy Saturday!! xx

Rooney Mara, Oscar's

Rooney Mara at the Oscar's on Sunday evening was an exquisite sight. I admire the minimalist style - no jewelry, ivory skin w/ little makeup - so that the focus is on her edgy hair and gown, marked by modern lines with white waves of Givenchy elegance. This is probably the opposite of my style, seeing as I swoon for bold accessories, a sun-kissed glow and a less tamed hairstyle - but I respect this. All of it, and her.
